EXECUTIVE SUMMARY : Advancements in the Information and Communications Technology have completely transformed our lives. Internet has become a technology without which it is difficult to survive now. Internet was initially used as means to access the information. But now, with the help of so many web applications, internet is providing enormous amount of business and personal tools. These tools are specially designed to make particular tasks easy. Internet is also used to share information and communicate with people who are geographically apart. Many businesses and social fields have benefited from the application of these technologies; and ecommerce industry is no exception. Organizations from around the world are able to do business with all countries as internet is so easily available everywhere. Though internet has reached to all remote areas including rural and suburban, people of these areas are still deprived from some benefits of the technology. For last many years business houses in metro cities and urban areas are doing smooth business with the help of ecommerce applications. Though procurement and selling of goods has become very smooth, the facilities are confined within metros and few urban areas only. It’s noticed, people of rural/suburban areas have access to high speed internet connection, but still deprived from having fruits of the technology. Our main objective is to facilitate all small business houses / retail stores in rural and suburban areas to access ecommerce applications to perform their business activities. We have already made a thorough survey and research work and found business houses in rural and suburban areas in India face huge problem to procure commodities. Most of business owners need to go to metros or nearby urban cities to buy the commodities. Sometimes they need to keep the stores closed for few days until products are procured. Some business houses in these areas buy products from some nearby big stores to maintain their inventories at normal retail rates. Sometime they also don’t get quality products. Our organization EL RATON PRIVATE LIMITED has a team of experienced Mobile App Developers. We have already designed and developed user friendly grocery and other related apps especially for small business houses / retail stores in rural and suburban areas. As our registered office is in Bongaigaon, Assam, we shall initially cover rural and suburban areas of Bongaigaon and other bordered districts. We have planned to setup a service unit in each district centrally. Business houses / retail stores can place their orders in our ecommerce apps and we shall try to deliver the quality goods at their doorsteps within 48 hours. In this case these merchants would never have to worry for their inventories. Also it would reduce their extra expenses like transportation cost, can save money as products would be delivered in wholesale rates. Based on the demands we would slowly cover entire northeast India, and obviously have dream to implement in all India in near future. PROBLEM : Our services would basically address following problem areas – Introducing ecommerce apps throughout business houses in rural and suburban areas in India to enable business owners to access the fruits of modern technology. Reducing downtime of business houses in rural and suburban areas by providing products at their doorsteps. Providing the quality products with wholesale rates. CUSTOMER SEGMENTS : Our target customers are small / medium business houses in rural and suburban areas in India. UNIQUENESS OF OUR SERVICES : Presently many ecommerce applications e.g. amazon, flipkart, ebay, snapdeal, etc are in market, but these are limited to some metro and urban areas and their target is to individual customers at retail price. The beauty of our service is to target small and medium business houses in rural and suburban areas where they have no access to present ecommerce services. REVENUE AND EMPLOYMENT GENERATION : Over 30,000 villages/suburban areas are in Assam only. Northeast India would cover more than 1,00,000 villages and suburban areas. Each village/suburban area would have many number of retail stores/small business houses. If things go as per our plans then it would generate huge revenues. Looking at the number of prospective customers, it is distinct a huge number of manpower has to be deputed to have smooth operation. So our services would also reduce unemployment problems from the societies.
