Entero Healthcare Solutions Private Limited is focusing to operate in the healthcare supply chain area. The distribution of healthcare products in India is inefficient with more than 31,000 distributors operating to serve 700,000 retail pharmacies, 30,000 hospitals and 50,000+ physician dispensers. If we compare with more developed economies like USA or Europe the distribution is consolidated with few large players controlling almost 70-80% of the market. These large players bring efficiencies and quality in healthcare supply chain through use of technology, economies of scale, optimized processes and better management. In India, pharmaceutical products market is 1,20,000 crores but almost 5% of the products is lost due to product expiries arising from bad storage conditions, lack of visibility of the stocks in the market, too many stock points. Further as individual distributors operating in the market are sub-scale with a very thin operating margins they are not willing to invest in good warehousing and logistics infrastructure leading to further aggravation of the problem. We plan to revolutionize the healthcare supply chain through use of technology to integrate various distributors, improve visibility of stock and bring down the cost of operations through leveraging economies of scale, technology integration, warehousing and logistics optimization etc. We would use advanced technology solutions including artificial intelligence, machine learning, advanced analytics for demand forecasting models to streamline the flow of products to the final drug dispensing points. The technology and scale would give us the competitive advantage compared to small subscales unorganized players in the current market.
