Equator Geo Pvt. Ltd. is a startup visualized to achieve the net-zero target for India by 2040. Currently, the world is on the verge of climate change tragedy. Sustainable development and equitable conservation initiatives are the need of the hour for the mitigation of climate change. In this scenario, our company drives towards climate equity with novel ideas and programs which are beneficial to every strata of the society. In this pursuit, our company focuses on estimating the carbon credits and its implications in carbon market. The treasure trove of India still lies in the agrarian sector and the company stands for emerging possibilities to double farmers’ income by involving them in the carbon market not only for sustainable development but also for environment conservation thereby achieving India’s commitments in the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) in the Paris Agreement. Every component of the ecosystem is directly or indirectly inter-linked, and hence the establishment and conservation of a sustainable environment prompts detailed analysis of each of its natural and anthropogenic components. Geographic Information System (GIS) is a powerful tool that encompasses the capability for diverse information assimilation, integration and data storage, and most crucially, it has the provision of coupling spatial data with other forms of information. The multifaceted technology provides noval and effective ways of data analysis, processing and visualization, which has opened new realms of data manipulation and interpretation in research. Our organization taps into this potential as we explore commercial solutions and research interests in different domains including land use management, urban planning, forestry, agriculture, oceanography, climatology, water resources and cryosphere studies, disaster management and so on.
