ABOUT US A few Sunday casual visits to one or two organic markets and a brief interactions with farmers visiting and trying to sell their organic produce led to a detailed farm visit to these farmers vilages and thus started the work of identifying the issues and working on Solutions. Everything Organik is a non commercial venture and close to heart project of a highly motivated professional Anoop Varma a veteran from the Media & Entertainment Industry with laurels of working with leading TV channels like Star TV, Aajtak and many more such national channels in India and was established in October of 2014. The mission statement “Facilitating Organic Lifestyles”, underlines their core philosophy. The person behind Everything Organik is someone with a strong passion towards promoting the organic movement and creating an awareness of potential health hazards, chemical body burden and natural wellness which is very steadily increasing and with consumers becoming more mindful of everything they use in their day to day lives and firmly believe that buying organic food should not be a luxury, it should be a convenience! WHAT DID WE SET OUT TO ACHIEVE WITH EVERYTHING ORGANIK In today’s busy world where time is a constraint, team Everything Organik took the initiative of approaching certain condominiums to set up a mini organic market over the weekends in order to bring clean pesticide free produce to peoples homes and became the medium between farmers who were growing organic produce and customers who wanted to eat organic. Everything Organik got the farmers produce to our markets and by buying from us, the consumers helped us pay the organic farmers a reasonable price and support their hard work. Everything Organik has in the last 50-52 months successfully hosted organic markets in various condominiums in the areas of DLF Phase 5, Golf Course extension road, DLF 4. Sector 31 etc in our quest to promote the organic movement with consumers. The market is set up like a mini carnival with Organic breakfast, fresh health drink, vegetables, staples, breads, cakes, muffins , poultry items and much more. We have been successfully running a weekend market at The World Spa for the past three and a half years and because of the good quality of organic produce the market has been extended to midweek market as well which is setup every Wednesday. We have had many mothers and other customers come to us to tell how so many of their illness's that they have been suffering for a period of time has either reduced drastically or has completely gone and this is all because there is absolutely no chemicals or pesticides in the organic produce that they buy from us. OUR PROCESSES Just to give you an insight on our process to identify the farms, we started visiting farms of small farmers as early as 2013-14 wherein these small farmers who we had met at various organic markets, fairs etc. and during our visits we realised that that while they had been growing organically for over one and a half decades they lacked the certification process and other processes. All farms growing organically needed to be atleast 3-4 Kms away from all sides of the farm from any other farm and these farms were clearly met these requirements. Our Founder has personally helped these farmers right from the certification process (which is done by a government aided agency called APEDA, Indocert, India Org) to soil & water testing, produce testing etc. We randomly visit various farms before we start taking produce from them and also get test reports done, we follow this process every 3-4 months as a part of the surprise check. During the renewal of certification the farmers are never told from which government the team would come and which farms would they visit and verify which includes checking of soil, seeds being used and where are the seeds being bought from and all that is duly back checked by the team and us as well. We personally look into the quality control plus have a lot of retired professors from the department of agriculture from various universities helping us to help the farmer with new techniques of growing and also have helped us to get the farmers to consolidate land and grow one crop in order to increase the yield. WHAT IS OUR VISION We want to make all our customers and the consumers in general aware that anyone who states that their produce is organic should be asked to share a copy of the certificate which should be available at that moment itself and all the dry produce that they sell should have the certificate number, FSSAI number etc prominently printed on the same.
