After the green revolution, use of chemicals started gaining momentum, in the country leading to make land holdings hard and prone to chemicals. The situation is becoming disastrous because we as a country, except a few pockets, have been producing the crops below the international standards of safe food. This alarming situation is posing great threat to our health & ecology and needs to be tackled as a national priority. Flyers Group Pvt Ltd has validated the community intensive outreach process of mobilizing and educating farmers to shift towards organic farming under Mission RIEV (Ruralising India-Empowering Villages-www.missionriev.in/www.iirdshimla.org). The process has to be supplemented with the optimum quantum of the alternative supplies i.e. bio-manure and bio-pesticides for which the Company intends to convert every farming household as a producer of organic manure out of available bio-waste and bio-pesticides through the scientific multiplication of bacteria produced by the Centre for Organic Farming. The venture is more or less the Lab-to-Land programme whereby the scientific research will be brought down to every farmer. The supplements, equipment and the knowledge dissemination shall be done by the Company besides buying back the manure and bio-pesticides from the farmers for selling the surplus in the bigger markets. This initiative is not only facilitating enriching the characteristics of our soil with the production of safe food, but will be able to create employment opportunities in procurement, training, warehousing, branding & marketing, R&D, sectors, etc. Wealth creation by converting the trash into treasure is uniqueness of the initiative.
