Folk Experience LLP is incubated at IIM Jammu. The company aims to preserve and spread the rich cultural heritage of India by offering curated cultural packages. The company aims to offer cultural experiences to tourists throughout the world based on deep research which the team will carry out. Nidhi Verma is one of the company's directors. She has submitted her PhD with a specialization in folklore only. She will lead the team to ensure that the dying folklore of India is preserved and spread globally in the form of blogs and travel packages. The main thrust of these packages will be to let the tourists feel, learn and understand Indian folk culture, its indigenous system, varied art forms and agrarian ways. Local/rural people and folk artists of a particular place will be involved in sharing their knowledge systems with travellers coming from far and wide. This will generate employment opportunities for varied sections of the society. The company will focus on SUSTAINABLE TOURISM PRACTICES, RURAL TOURISM, CULTURAL TOURISM, FARM TOURISM, GASTRONOMICAL TOURISM (Tourists will enjoy and learn to cook the traditional food with the locals). The company aims to be a digital repository to understand Indian folklore also. Our blogs will be one stop solution for knowledge seekers and academia.
