Foundinity is a co-founder discovery and professional networking platform that helps entrepreneurs and professionals find compatible co-founders to build startups with. It gives founders a structured way to identify and evaluate potential co-founders, built around an algorithm that captures skills, working style, collaboration approach, commitment level, values, personality and co-founder preferences. Rather than functioning as an open directory or a social feed, the platform runs a multi-dimensional evaluation across these attributes and surfaces a ranked set of aligned candidates. The problems it addresses are several. First, people have a hard time finding the right co-founder at all, and a large number of viable startup ideas are never pursued because the founder could not find a partner to build with. Second, founding-team breakdown is one of the leading causes of early-stage startup failure, and it is largely a product of how founders find each other. Most partnerships form through immediate personal networks, which means the selection pool is determined by geography and existing social access rather than by fit. Third, founders outside major startup hubs are structurally disadvantaged, because they do not have access to the dense founder networks that exist in established startup cities. Fourth, even within those hubs, founders pair up on the strength of familiarity and leave the factors that actually determine whether a partnership survives, commitment, vision, goals, values and equity expectations, unexamined until a disagreement becomes expensive and the founding team splits. Foundinity is built to address all of these.
