Our initial establishment of R&D facility in the incubation center of Kolkata Biotech Park has recently been shifted to a defined R&D facility at Vill – Joychandipur, PO- Bakrahat, PS- Bishnupur, Dist. – 24Parganas(South) , Near Kolkata with all the necessary infrastructure. In these years we have successfully developed several import substitutes used as research reagents and marketed those products in India. Last four years we have worked on several biomolecules which will be used as import substitutes, recombinant protein products specifically for research use and performed pilot experiments for developing recombinant therapeutic protein products. In 2006, with a dream to develop a successful Biotech company, GCC Biotech (I) Pvt Ltd started its journey as manufacturing establishment with just a mere capital amount of Rs. 10,000/-. From the beginning, the vision of the company was set on the principle of building and implementing great ideas of Biotechnology that propel the development of products for the health, improvement of livelihood that at the end benefit common people. In 2010, GCC Biotech (India) Pvt. Ltd., established the R&D laboratory at the Kolkata Biotech Park facility with an ambition to develop a research based business model. We started our venture with limited resources as a service based R&D Company and our primary focus was on genomic and molecular biology services. With the emerging trends of opportunity in the biotech product manufacturing we have expanded our wing to enter into the manufacturing of biotech products and extensively doing research to develop new products.
