Gentrac Labs is a medical technology company developing AI-powered diagnostic tools for anemia and neonatal jaundice, two of India's most prevalent and under-detected conditions- using nothing more than a smartphone. Our flagship platform, HbPRISM, extracts two clinical biomarkers (hemoglobin and bilirubin) from a single smartphone photograph of the eye and skin. At the core is NormaEngine, a proprietary cross-device color normalization system that ensures consistent, clinically reliable readings across the wide variation in smartphone cameras, lighting conditions, and skin tones found across India's population. The platform is designed for OPD and last-mile deployment: ASHA workers and frontline health staff can screen patients at the community level without laboratory infrastructure, enabling earlier identification, timely referral, and longitudinal monitoring of at-risk populations- including pregnant women, neonates, and children under five. Gentrac Labs is currently in the validation phase, with pilot studies demonstrating strong diagnostic performance across both biomarkers. Our team combines deep expertise in clinical medicine, machine learning, and computational imaging, with over two decades of experience in India's public health landscape. We are building toward regulatory submission and prospective clinical trials in government health programs, with the goal of integrating HbPRISM into India's frontline diagnostic infrastructure at scale.
