Ghumio is a marketplace built to organize something that already exists everywhere but has no dedicated platform. Across India, thousands of individual hosts regularly take people on trips that are already planned and happening, such as weekend getaways, trekking groups, road trips, cultural journeys, and community travel plans. These trips currently operate through scattered WhatsApp groups, Instagram stories, word of mouth, or personal networks, which makes them hard to discover, unreliable to manage, and impossible to scale. Ghumio solves this structural gap by providing a single platform where these already happening trips can be hosted, discovered, and booked transparently. The platform does not create experiences or package tours. Instead, it gives individual hosts the infrastructure to list trips that are already being run, while giving travelers a reliable way to find and join them without depending on informal channels. What makes Ghumio innovative is that it focuses on organizing real world travel activity rather than manufacturing new offerings. Existing platforms are built either for travel agencies or for curated experiences. Ghumio is built for individuals who are already hosting trips but lack tools for visibility, trust, and structured coordination. By formalizing this informal ecosystem, Ghumio unlocks economic opportunity for independent hosts and removes friction for travelers who are already seeking these trips but struggle to find them.
