The key concerns raised in the Annual Status of Education (ASER) reports of 2016 and 2017 are (1) inferior quality of education and (2) lack of foundational skills. These act as roadblocks to our economic and social progress. Research has proved that learning and exposure during the early years of a child lay the foundation for everything that is to come. Access to superior quality and age-appropriate education in the early years can play a key role in creating well-rounded individuals, who can contribute significantly to nation building. At Gliese, we wish to create such well-rounded individuals. We have adopted an innovative approach to education by adopting the best teaching methodologies that have evolved and matured over the years and across the globe. Using technology as an enabler, our learning solution helps deliver comprehensive, high-quality, and age-appropriate content to the masses. The learning solution gives the experience of a private tutor to the child and facilitates effective learning through concepts like meaningful learning, spaced repetition, and personalised learning. The model is inherently scalable by design. The content once created can be easily delivered to the target audience with minimal incremental costs. The exponential growth of mobile and internet users in the country makes the business model even more scalable. The Digital India initiatives of the government will further act as a catalyst for increasing our spread and reach. We thoroughly believe that our learning solution will not just make education affordable and accessible to the masses but also effective.
