About 11 percent of all the greenhouse gas emissions that come from the food system could be reduced if we stop wasting food. We are currently researching on the natural sources like Neem, Mustard seeds, Cloves for Antimicrobial compounds for packaging material with an aim to address the food spoilage which is a global environmental issue. These antimicrobial compounds when impregnated will inhibit a variety of spoilage bacteria, mold, and yeasts in food products.
