GRAM SHREE DEVELOPMENT SERVICES PRIVATE LIMITED is working to solve the problem faced by 8% of ST-SC population of our country. They lives in forest area and minor forest produce is source of livelihood for them. Due to lack of infrastructure and market access they are not able to get the benefit of the natural resources they have access. Currently Gramshree is using the Browning free technology to increase the shelf life of Custard apple pulp and preserve it in frozen condition and then market to buyers in ice-cream and catering industry. This intervention has following impact on the tribal families and our village economy 1. Tribal are able to get the more than the double the price of raw fruit which they were not able to get earlier. 2. Tribal women get employment opportunity in village itself and Gramshree establish mini-processing unit in village only. 3. Opportunity for youth to take is up as an enterprise and run their own business. This intervention has opportunity to expand in other tribal belt of our country like M.P, Chhatishgarh, Telengan and many part of Maharastra.
