Gratize Venture Consulting Services Pvt. Ltd. is the company started with a vision to make positive impact on the lives of people. It owns the brand Pashushala.com. Pashushala.com is an online marketplace established with the aim to strengthen Livestock Economy of the country. It helps livestock enterprises/self-employed/individuals to achieve their full potential while ensuring livestock well being. Livestock is an integral part of the Indian economic, cultural and social setup. About 20.5 million people depend upon it for their livelihood - close to two-third of rural India. It provides employment to about 8.8 % of the population. India has a vast livestock resource, which contributes 4.11% to India’s GDP and 25.6% of total Agriculture GDP. Cattle have always played a significant role in sustaining the agriculture system by providing vital inputs like manure and draught power. For a large section of rural India, cattle rearing, providing a steady income, is essential for survival. Farm animals also create a significant number of jobs and small/ancillary business opportunities. Livestock Provide – Income (Primary or Secondary), Employment, Food, Social Security, Draft and Consumable/Non-consumable products of commercial relevance. Livestock market in India is highly unorganized and distributed. Purchase is mostly done through traditional channels like, fairs, word of mouth, brokers, etc. There exists a vast information disparity and price arbitrage resulting into uneven distribution of superior breeds – in consequence yield to a livestock owner varies vastly. Access to quality and affordable livestock services is affected by many factors including lack of quality service providers, physical distances, price parity, information and socio-cultural barriers.
