"Green Mineral Cleantech is in the business of lithium battery recycling, a sector gaining momentum in India with the rise of EVs and electronics. The organization is setting up an ecosystem that handles end-of-life lithium-ion batteries using physical recycling methods, including discharging, dismantling, crushing, and separation into its different material compositions. At Green Mineral Cleantech our aim is simple: recover value from waste. Most lithium-ion batteries in India are currently either dumped in landfills or handled informally with unsafe methods. This leads to pollution, safety hazards, and a huge loss of valuable materials like lithium, cobalt, nickel, copper, and iron all of which are either very expensive to mine or imported. We’re fixing this problem in a practical and future-ready way. Green Mineral Cleantech is focusing on creating an innovative solution with the below focus areas: Circular economy: Every part of our process is designed to keep materials in circulation, not dumped or wasted. We want to create a circular economy where we extract and reintegrate all the metals in regeneration of new batteries. Whether it’s extracting pure metals or preparing black mass for chemical recovery, we’re part of the solution to make batteries Green Mineral Cleantech has a focus on creating a clean and contamination-free process which ensures separation of aluminum, copper, iron, plastic, and black mass into pure contaminant free components. This significantly improves usage of these materials by downstream processors, and additionally increases resale value and economic gains for Green Mineral Cleantech. Green Mineral Cleantech’s operations will create a range of direct and indirect jobs in areas of plant staff, logistics handlers, battery aggregators, and compliance professionals. We believe this is a long-term business opportunity that creates real economic value while solving a critical environmental challenge.
