We are a clean tech startup based at Jaipur and incubated in Malaviya National Institute of Technology, Jaipur. We have recently partnered with Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves. Our firm, Greenhertz Dynamics conceives, develops and manufactures products and provides services to solve the most pressing problems persisting on the planet Earth including but not limited to energy scarcity, pollution related to water, land and air and devise novel methods for mitigation of pollution of water, land and air and conservation of resources. Residential solid fuel burning on conventional chulhas accounts for 25% of global black carbon emissions and is the primary cause of disease and death in South Asia including India. Even with the provision of clean cooking solutions like LPG, people in rural and few urban areas are reluctant to switch to such fuels either because they cannot afford them on regular basis or they do not prefer them due to their behavioral preferences. About 1 million deaths occur annually in India due to household air pollution caused because of cooking on convetional chulhas. Keeping the above factors in mind, we have developed a forced draft improved biomass cook stove under the trade name TEJAS. It delivers upto 70% fuel savings and upto 80% smoke reduction while being able to work and perform well with almost all shapes and kinds of solid biomass fuel with provision for flame control and dedicated ash removal system. With Tejas, food cooking time and fuel collection time is drastically reduced and women save more than 1 hour each day just in cooking. They also get the benefit of cooking in cleaner, safer and smoke free environment.
