Greenovative Foods Pvt Ltd is a Kochi based sustainable food startup, incubated at IIM-K LIVE (https://www.iimklive.org/), as well as KRIBS BioNest (https://rgcb.res.in/BioNest/). We are working on a plant-based meat product called “The Green Meat™”, which offers “guilt-free meat for those who care” and plans to hit the market by Jan-2021. As there is increased awareness among educated Indians about their food, there now exists a section of people called Flexitarians, who are concerned about eating animal meat due to health aspects, cruelty aspects, and the high environmental cost of it. Yet they are stuck with it due to the absence of a viable substitute for the animal meat consumption experience. The Green Meat™ aims to solve this problem by offering a product that looks, cooks, chews, feels, and tastes like animal meat, with equivalent nutritional qualities but without any of the guilt and harmful effects associated with it.
