In their own words

Non invasive and non chemical management of borers in agriculture. Borers insect pests need no introduction, as they kill the host plant. Coffee White Stem Borer is taken as an experimental species owing to its importance in Arabica coffee. Close to 12-25% of mature bushes are lost per acre each year. No credible remedial measures exist even after more than 100 years of research by ICAR. Detection of presence of larvae during first four stages is difficult in the field. Infestation goes unnoticed. Once the infestation is detected, plant has to be uprooted and burnt. Using vibration sensors, embedded software and Doppler effect, we can detect the presence and position of larva in the plant. The vibration sensors with embedded software detect the sonogram of the sounds produced by larvae while chewing and crawling, and Doppler effect helps to pinpoint the position of larvae on x, y and z axis (3 D plane). The research culminates in development of a low cost stem borer detection gadget for coffee which can be extended to all borers of horticultural plants (like Mango, cashew, coconut etc). Once the presence of larva is detected, various techniques can be used to eliminate the pest. Further research may also be done on handheld radio frequency devices which heat up the water molecules in the haemolymph of larvae to 55 degrees and kill the larvae inside the plant. This is non-invasive management of stem borers. This will reduce the use of chemicals like Chlorpyriphos (a restricted chemical), increase the income of farmers and the technology can be extended to other crops as well.

Funding signals

We hold evidence classes, not events. There is no amount and no date here because we do not have them, and a class says only where the company was named. 3,674 of the 34,244 records in Bengaluru carry a signal of some class.

The neighbourhood

This record carries no locality line, so the district is the finest ring we can place it in.

What we do not know

We have no liveness signal for any company on this site: no filings feed, no revenue, no check that the website still resolves. A record existing here means a record exists, not that a business is trading.

Is this your company?

Everything here comes from public government records. If something is wrong, the authoritative place to correct it is the Startup India portal itself, and we will pick the correction up on the next monthly snapshot.
