Gumohh is a youth-led travel startup from Udaipur, Rajasthan, working to make student group travel more meaningful, affordable, and inclusive. We organize customized trips for schools, colleges, and universities — including educational and cultural tours, skill-building retreats and inter-institutional group experiences. The idea came from our own time in college. We saw how travel was either treated as a vacation or limited to privileged students. Most group trips were generic, lacked purpose, and didn’t offer any lasting value. We wanted to change that. At Gumohh, we use travel as a way to help students explore, learn, and connect — especially those who don’t usually get such opportunities. We bring students from different institutes together, including smaller or remote colleges, so they can share experiences, build friendships, and learn from each other. Our mission is to raise awareness about the importance of travelling for personal development and rejuvenation of students. What makes us different is our focus on personalization and accessibility. We work closely with institutions to design trips that match their goals and budget. We also partner with local service providers to reduce costs and support the regional economy. A web-based system is in development to help institutes plan and manage trips easily. Our partnership model will focus on reinvesting in the student community through sponsorships and skill development programs. This allows us to create real developmental value for students through the growth of our start-up. This is our first year, and we’ve already organized successful trips across North and West India. The feedback from students and travel groups has been extremely positive. They find our trips well-managed, value-driven, and different from usual “tour packages.” We believe travel can be a powerful tool — not just for fun, but for exposure, learning, and national integration. Gumohh is our way of making that happen, one trip at a time.
