Guru Pratap Txtiles Pvt Ltd focuses on development of a technology capable of reuse of waste material generated duing proceess of carpet making in carpet clusters Bhadohi-varanasi-Mirzapur, Panipat, jaipur Agra. In these clusters it is estimated that capet worth 10 lakh meter is woven by hand & gun & marketed worldwide since ages. The total turnover is estimated around 60 to 70 thousands crores of Rupee per anum. After weaving of carpet it reqiure finishing done through scissor and cutter & lot of dust containing wool & cotton is generated. This waste is locally known as BHUJWAN.This waste is collected by lowest strata of poor labourers. Indian Institute of carpet technology Bhadohi has publised a paper few months back devising re use of this waste in paper cone making which has wide application in marketting of carpets. The carpets are winded over these paper cones when exported. So once this technology is developed & found technically feasible & economically viable we can take it up commercially & market it to thecluster with the help of these dust collectors associated with us as shareholders. The reuse of this waste will convert as usable product in export & eventually will reduce the cost of imputs for carpet export. The waste collector ,artisans will get better chances of earning a higher daily income & better livelihood. On the other the hand use of this waste material will reduce the cost of material used in our export & will enable exporters -Artisan to better compete in international market. The reduction in cost of production will enhance chances of higher returns giving jump to the icome of the exporter-artisans. Indian Institute of Carpet Technology, a prestigeous institute, of Government of India at Bhadohi, has shown inclination to work on it, provided some one takes the responsibility of get it implemented for the benefit of the cluster. Our start-up is ready to take up this responsibility & has requeted IICT to take up this subject for devising a technology/process for its reuse & help us in gettting it implemented in the cluster.
