EHR.Network is a cloud based EHR platform that provides Healthcare APIs for application development. Developers can build, deploy and run their standards compliant clinical applications with minimum effort and investment. Healthcare applications are extremely difficult to build and deploy due to the complexity of clinical data, standards & regulations and sensitivity of personal data. Moreover person centric clinical data has an extremely long life, often exceeding 100 years, representing the lifespan of a person. However the application technologies and interfaces are changing rapidly, with typical applications having less that 5 years life. Further, valuable data is lost in application migrations and while inter-operating between large number of applications that drive the healthcare ecosystem. Our platform abstracts many of these complexities centrally and provide simple to use healthcare APIs for application developers to consume and build their applications on. By using our platform, developers can cut down their app development cycle to weeks rather than months and years. Aspects such as security, privacy, access control, EHR standards, terminology coding of data and services that manage business processes and workflows are available as REST APIs on the platform. The Clinical Data Repository(CDR) on the platform adheres to the openEHR standards and offers a flexible and dynamic data schema to manage the ever evolving clinical data landscape. It can support data sets for any clinical application. It is also designed to enable semantic interoperability with other standard clinical applications. The NDHM bridge that has been built on top of the platform makes all the applications on the platform capable of consent driven exchange of clinical data of patients. The platform is supported by extensive developer documentation including howtos, faqs and OpenAPI 3.0 compliant API documentation. It is built following the cloud native principles for scalability and performance. The security features include API gateways, centralized log aggregation and analysis, audit logs and compliance to OWASP top 10 web security guidelines. While the SAAS platform is suited for independent applications such as personal health, telemedicine, medical devices and distributed care teams, private cloud options are available for institutional networks and sector specific vertical healthcare solutions such as geriatric care and sports medicine.
