We’re witnessing a historic shift in the way people live but our cities aren’t currently built to accommodate; For the first time in our existence, more of humanity lives in cities than not (i) In 2015, 85% of global GDP was generated in cities (PWC) (ii) By 2050 more than 67% of the world’s population will live in cities (iii) An estimated 1.5 million people are added to the global urban population every week (PWC) (iv) And the average human spends 87% of their lives in buildings (Nature) (v) Our cities are not built to support this mass urban migration; work, living and play solutions are needed to support this phenomenon (vi) A positive future of cities - where citizens get more out of less space - will require us to rethink our approaches to density, live-work-play spaces, and data-driven decision-making Indian millennials will comprise 42% of the total population by 2025. About 72% millennials are willing to consider co-living spaces as an option for their accommodation, according to a recent survey conducted by Knight Frank India. They are looking for spaces that are conducive to their needs.
