Hunaru — Governance for AI-era software engineeringHunaru is a B2B software platform that makes it safe for companies to ship AI-generated code. As engineering teams adopt AI coding agents (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code) that now write a large and growing share of production code, three control gaps have opened simultaneously: there is no reliable record of which AI agent made which change, no compliance evidence to satisfy auditors and India's DPDP Act, and no automatic safety net when AI-written code fails in production. Companies are forced to choose between shipping fast with AI and staying secure, accountable, and audit-ready. Hunaru closes this gap end-to-end through one platform with three integrated products.Pramana (Audit & Accountability) uses a lightweight command-line tool with git hooks and repository webhooks to detect which AI agent performed each code action and records it in a tamper-evident, hash-chained audit trail. A risk engine automatically flags high-signal events — direct pushes to main branches, unusually large changes, and edits to sensitive files — into a human reviewer queue, and the platform generates SOC 2, ISO 27001, and ISO 42001-style compliance evidence reports on demand.Petika (Security & Compliance Scanning) runs industry-standard security scanners across a codebase — static code analysis, dependency/CVE detection, container scanning, and secrets detection — then uses a large language model to add plain-language remediation guidance and map each finding to specific compliance controls (India's DPDP Act, SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS), producing an actionable assessment report.Lachit (Runtime Protection) watches production error logs and, when the same error recurs, opens a single incident, writes a root-cause analysis, files a ticket, notifies the owner by email, and — on approval — executes remediation such as a rollback or fix. It catches the failure mode that standard health checks miss: when a service appears healthy but users are experiencing errors.What is innovative and unique: No existing tool ties governance to the specific AI coding agent and its actions, or connects build-time audit, pre-deployment security and compliance, and runtime protection into a single evidence chain. Competing products only measure AI productivity, or scan code vulnerabilities, or store compliance evidence — none govern the AI agent's behaviour across the full lifecycle. Hunaru is also the first to natively support India's DPDP Act alongside global AI-governance frameworks (ISO 42001, NIST AI RMF, EU AI Act), which are creating mandatory demand for exactly the evidence Hunaru produces automatically.Business model and scalability: Hunaru is delivered as cloud-native software (subscription per monitored developer, plus usage-based compliance exports and an enterprise tier), with a free open-source tier to seed adoption. Its containerized, event-driven architecture scales horizontally at low marginal cost, serving customers from startups to regulated enterprises in fintech and healthtech without re-architecture. A working product is already built and in a private pilot with a real customer.
