• This is the first time in India where 2 Doctors who have been specifically trained in Intensive Care and Aeromedical Services in UK, have relocated back home to Bangalore to own and start a Professional Air Ambulance Service. • It is one of the very few organizations in the world which offer both Fixed wing as well as Rotary (Helicopter) Aeromedical transfers both in Primary as well as Secondary retrieval roles, apart from having a dedicated training program for Doctors and paramedics for these services. • They developed an Aeromedical transport system based on best practices that they imbibed in UK. They set up a system of Clinical Governance, where Standard operating procedures were put in place and deviations were Audited. Their new style of working, that involved their doctor to be flown a night in advance and take over of ICU care from the parent team, was unheard of. They always delivered their critical patients in the best pre-optimised clinical state to the receiving hospitals. • They revolutionized the Air transportation of Vital organs (Heart and Lungs) by blending the Clinical priorities with Aviation Logistics. With their background in ICU and Anesthetics, they communicate directly with the Transplant operating surgeon to synergize the Cross clamp and isolation of organ with the Air logistics. This ensured the guaranteed the whole Harvest and Transplant protocol and never lost an organ since their inception. • HEMS: Helicopter Emergency Medical Service – The use of Helicopter in Medical Emergencies, a mature Health-care solution in the Developed world, which does not exist in India. ICATT was the only private organization in India which was involved in Emergency Patient Air Evacuations by Helicopter during the floods in Kerala. They provided the Proof of Concept of HEMS by this and are in talks with State and Central Governments to adopt and support this service so that it could be rendered free to the patients needing it the most. • FAM: Fellowship in Aeromedical Sciences – This is the only Stand alone comprehensive Training Program for Flying Doctors and Paramedics in the world. ICATT conceptualized and designed this program to provide the need for Trained flying personnel for its Operations in Fixed wing as well as Helicopters used in HEMS. They brought together, the best and the biggest names in Aeromedical Services from UK, Australia and Germany to train their Doctors in India. The first batch of 12 Doctors and 12 Paramedics will be completing their 1-year training by May 2020.
