IDEAMINES, CSIR-CSIO and IIT Ropar have co developed V-TREAT, wearable light weight Breathing device for healthcare workers, corona warriors, and can be used as Covid patient's bed side mount to destruct virus at source, using chemical scrubbing, UVC, Photocatalyst, and HEPA filters, This 4-stage makes it highly reliable, weighs just 1.65 kgs including power banks(1/3rd of school bags), and sized 8"X6"X 4.5" which is ergonomically strapped on the back and user is hands free to work, and walk, and bend. Not only it is designed to save lives of Healthcare worker, but can be used by Air crew, OPD doctors, Over the counter sales agents, In car mount, office table top device, and lot more. 25 Prototypes developed, beta testing is Ongoing, Cytological testing and UVC dose certification cleared by CSIR-IMTECH testing . Virucidal testing is ongoing at the time of this application, expect no issues, will be cleared. Thereafter, Prototypes shall be sent to KGMU, PGI Chandigarh, AIIMS Delhi and Jhansi Medical college and GSVM Kanpur. The prototypes are ready since October 2020, but due to lack of funds commercialization could not begin. it is painful to see India has the technology to save doctors, yet, 90% of its own doctors and nurses are getting infected, and dyeing. Regarding Promoter, is an IIT Kanpur Alumni 1991 batch, also IIM Lucknow Noida campus alumni 2005-2008 batch, and with 30 years global experience in 20 + countries, 70+ projects of refineries, petro-chemicials, Oil &gas, and chemicals. The device uses specially designed internals to miniaturize several scrubbing, separation and coalescence related unit operations into a very micro scale. The technology is patented by IDEAMINES. Chemicals used in scrubbing are OSHA compliant not listed, for LC(50) inhalation, and meets cytotoxicity certifications.
