Being located far from the mainland, the people of Andaman and Nicobar Islands have always suffered in many ways. One of the most common issues here is the high price of every single thing you buy. The reason for this high price is a logistic issue. Goods are manufactured in the mainland and are then sent to these Islands. The shipping company charges 1.5 lac for a single container to be shipped to these Islands, and after such high logistical charges, the price of the products reaches sky high. As there are no industries here, we had no choice but to pay these high prices. Since our childhood we were told that we have to suffer this as we live in such remote areas. After completing my studies, I planned to set up a manufacturing company and to manufacture such products which can be manufactured with small quantities of raw material but can give high profit margin. And finally I came to know about cleaning products manufacturing, in which 20 percent raw material is used and the rest is DM water. Immediately, I took training in the manufacturing of cleaning products. After completion of my training I bought a small quantity of sample chemicals to try practically and guess what? It was a great success. Now, I am capable of manufacturing cleaning products even better than the branded products in the market. These branded products pay huge money to ship these products to these Islands through ships. But now Andaman and Nicobar Islands will soon get their own brand. As we will not be paying anything to import products in these Islands, we can give good competition to the branded products here. I am expecting a profit of 60 percent of my total sale.
