Current market of background Checks in India wherein these professional services are being sought by companies for their employees (B2B Business) is US$ 70.28 Million. In US alone in 2016, the B2B BGV (background verification) market was US$ 3.74 Billion and is expected to grow to US$ 5.46 by 2025. In India also this market is expected to grow exponentially in B2B as well as B2C. B2C market is many times bigger than B2B. Common people do not have any other option in BGV area except the Police Verification. Anyone interested in carrying out a genuine check on their maids, drivers, employees, tenants in the area of court checks, criminal check, address check, education / employment checks etc do not have any viable options till now. The opportunity size is over 451 million (45 Crore) working individuals in India out of which approx. 98% work in unorganized sector where a background check is rarely conducted from their professional competency or criminal background standpoint. The target group is each and every citizen of India who employees anyone for their business (especially small & medium size) and more so for their homes. While B2B BGV business is already in existence and growing at over 20% CAGR. B2C hasn’t been introduced yet by any of the existing BGV screening companies due to the complexities involved around the each check and their compliances.
