Business Idea With nearly A decade of experience in hotel and restaurants, we began to sense the unorganized atmosphere that has existed in this industry for very long. Though the technology is playing a vital role in the market with innovation and easy reach to people, it is yet to meet the service sector of hotels and restaurants and brings together all the parties concerned and create an hyper-local environment and develop an inclusive market. In this digital world, people like to you know and understand everything at their fingertips. It is this behaviour of consumers that has fuelled the growth of the digital world and mobile applications. IOTEL intends to be a one-stop destination to bring together all the stakeholders that are needed and are necessary for the Hotel and Restaurant industry. There is a need for a platform for hotel and restaurant owners to connect with vendors and service providers at one destination and competitive marketplace. In India, even today with advanced technologies and computer applications dominating the marketplace, this hospitality industry remains unorganized and is cut from the technology and moving forward with conventional methods of availing services and hiring people which appears to be nonviable. With such a pain point, we are about to solve this by creating a single marketplace to all the stakeholders who are responsible for the growth of hotels and restaurants by fuelling their growth with the help of technology. Even though a lot of search engines and private players have attempted to bring a lot of vendors and service providers online by providing free posting and listings, they assure no service and lack trusted partnerships. Operating a hotel or restaurant with a lot of stakeholders involved is a business based on trust and beliefs and we are about delivering the same to our users. Hotels and restaurants may fail but the industry is never going to quit because people never stop eating and they need new taste every now and then. Operational inefficiencies are more often the reason for closure in this industry. Line inefficiency is due to the lack of options in availing services and purchasing products without comparison and service ratings. The owners of restaurants and hotels depend most on agricultural inputs such as fruits and vegetables, grains, cereals, pulses, oils, etc. Though there are many vendors who supply all the agricultural products and produce, there is a lack of market information regarding prices and it's proportional quality. IOTEL is about building a competitive platform to bring together the stakeholders on whom this industry depends upon and provide the business owners with multiple options to avail their needs. Our business model involves factors that differentiate us from other conventional and existing players which we would like to call them the solution to this unorganized system and bring in an effective solution guided by Technology and operations that benefit all the people connected within the platform. IOTEL is a business to business (b2b) platform to connect all the hotel and restaurant requirements under one name and benefit all the stakeholders. Here we list a few pain points that exist in this industry due to the unorganized nature of the industry as of today. 1. Unorganized and lack of trustable employee agencies. 2. Unavailability of information regarding vendors and service providers. 3. Lack of consumable price details daily. 4. Lack of options to avail services. 5. More time consumption in availing a service. 6. Lack of Management and hotel operating skills. Though there are a lot of issues of concern in the industry we have highlighted the few but our idea of conception includes and tries to solve all these issues with utmost efficiency. We have adopted a customer-centric model of business where we bring together innumerable options and a new and innovative way to approach service providers formally and with trust. The key features of our idea are 1. Provide employment security to skilled people looking to explore job opportunities in this industry and also to the people hiring them. 2. Be a one-stop destination to procure all the equipment and material to run the business at competitive prices (Avoiding intermediate overhead costs such as brokerage and commissions). 3. Create a marketplace for small and medium vendors and connect them to potential customers. 4. Bring together all the service providers that are needed in the hotel and restaurant industry on time and provide them with potential business opportunities and the owners with trustworthy service providers.
