The story goes back with friends coming together to diversify from their current business of real-estate, cement manufacturing, pan-India retail sales and distribution network etc. to something closer to Nature and having a Social aspect to a project. Mr. Pradeep Singhal and Mr. Anil Kumar Agarwal were the two friends who came together to give birth to IXB Agritech Pvt. Ltd. which was previously known as Anadih Realtors and joined by young entrepreneur Mr. Karan Sahal shortly. A prime piece of land measuring over 14 Acres, well placed between Rangapani Railway station, which is the main Cargo handling and Wagon unloading point for goods meant for Siliguri, the strategic corridor connecting North East with rest of India and a stone throw away from Bagdogra International Airport, became the heart of the project. Though initially the land was bought for utilizing the same for logistic Management and Real Estate businesses, but the change of plan occurred with the sudden advent of Covid 19 which also brought forth the awareness on health and need for quality of life. The chance meeting with a serial entrepreneur Mr. Ranjan Daipaayan Sen with over 18 years plus experience in the field of Organic farming, Agri Inputs manufacturing, Social enterprises and Project Management, opened their eyes to the possibility of creating a larger prospect for all. This interest brought them to create something unique which would not only address their social agenda but create a positive impact on the livelihood of the farmers of the region. With multiple meetings and capex expenditure planned, RDS joined on-board the team as partners to the project and thus the story began. IXBAPL is venturing into Organic and Chemical free sustainable farm produces which will be grown in-house both under Protected cultivation (4000 sq. m) and open area cultivation (3 Acres) in their farm having over 14.5 Acres area, using precision agriculture system. Our core product ranges will comprise fresh farm products of exotic varieties, fruits like Strawberry, Banana and Pineapples, spices from the region comprising of large Cardamom, Turmeric, Ginger and Chilli other than including folk rice like Tulaipanji and Kalo Nunia from North Bengal districts. With our strategic location, the unit at IXBAPL will have complete post-harvest solutions like Sorting and grading unit with pack house, cold room to store fresh produces, ripening chambers and we will have refrigerated van to procure, store and transport other perishable products of the region as well. As the Siliguri corridor is a very important transit point connecting the North-Eastern States with the rest of India, we also plan to cater and add value to the farm products of the region by connecting with the farmers through various Social enterprises and FPOs to Organically produce the crop from the region and market them through IXABPL.
