Jaami Agri Tech Pvt. Ltd. is a clean-energy agritech startup focused on addressing the high cost, pollution, and unreliability of irrigation faced by small and marginal farmers in India. Current solutions such as diesel pumps and inconsistent grid electricity lead to increased operational expenses, delayed irrigation, and reduced agricultural productivity, while existing alternatives remain either expensive, fixed, or technically inadequate for deep borewell conditions. To solve this, the company has developed a portable, Li-ion battery-powered deep-suction water pump designed for real rural conditions. The system delivers up to 200 ft suction depth, 8–10 hours runtime, and operates at a significantly lower cost (~₹50 per hectare), without dependence on diesel or grid electricity. A specially designed quick-fit coupling enables tool-free, instant installation, reducing labor dependency and improving usability for farmers. The innovation lies in combining deep borewell capability, portability, long battery life, and rapid installation — features not currently available together in existing irrigation systems. The solution primarily targets small and marginal farmers, Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), and institutional buyers, with applications across India and similar global markets. The startup has completed prototype development and is progressing through field trials and initial deployment planning, with a roadmap for commercial rollout and institutional partnerships.
