Jambudivpa Indigenous Resources Foundation Vision To revive, preserve, and proliferate India’s indigenous agricultural wisdom by safeguarding native seeds, curating genetic and traditional knowledge, and empowering communities and entrepreneurs to co-create a resilient, regenerative, and sovereign food and farming future. Mission 1. Conserving native seeds and biodiversity through community-driven seed banks through ecological sustainable practices, 2. Digitally documenting genetic data and traditional agrarian knowledge, 3. Empowering farmers, researchers, and entrepreneurs with access to seeds, knowledge, and market pathways, 4. Validating and revitalizing time-tested practices from Ayurveda, Vrikshayurveda, and other Indian wisdom systems, 5. Fostering innovation, value addition, and sustainable livelihoods rooted in ecological and cultural integrity 6. Curating novel processing methods, designing suitable machinery and deploying them to the communities Mandates 1. Collection of genotypes of heirloom seeds 2. Curation of the information on centres of research for these seeds 3. Creation of database of knowledge of cultivation, best practices, application, processing, storage from ancient and contemporary literature. 4. Collaboration with academic and research institutions for creating database of solutions, products and technologies 5. Distribution of curated information as references, playbooks, CTBs, white papers, SOPs to the key stakeholders such as startups, entrepreneurs, scientific community, FPOs, innovators, thinktanks, policy makers and Govt. 6. Raise investment to support the foundation activities and also the startups associated with this cause.
