JUNGLRISE BIOTECH PRIVATE LIMITED is a startup headquartered in Dantewada, Chhattisgarh, working at the intersection of industrial biotechnology and food processing. Our mission is to build India’s first large-scale, innovation-driven industrial yeast manufacturing ecosystem that reduces reliance on imports and creates yeast strains adapted specifically for Indian conditions. We are developing an Apex Industrial Yeast Strain with superior characteristics such as: Osmotolerance – performs well in high-sugar doughs (10–25% sugar). Thermotolerance – retains activity up to 40 °C, critical for Indian climate and bakeries without cold chains. Shelf-life extension – ≥12 months stability for instant dry yeast at 25 °C, enabling retail distribution across India. Versatility – suitable for both wheat-based breads and traditional Indian fermented foods such as idli, dosa, and dhokla. Our product portfolio includes: Compressed Fresh Yeast (CFY) for B2B bakeries. Instant Dry Yeast (IDY) in retail sachets for household and small bakery use. By setting up a modular production facility starting with 2 × 5,000 L fermenters, expandable to 30–50 m³ in later phases, JUNGLRISE will serve both domestic and export markets. With India’s yeast demand exceeding 60,000 MT annually, and a large portion still met through imports, JUNGLRISE aims to be the country’s first indigenous large-scale yeast brand. Beyond manufacturing, we are committed to local economic development in Dantewada, generating skilled jobs in biotechnology, food engineering, packaging, and distribution. With strong R&D linkages (CSIR–IMTECH/MTCC) and scalable process technology, JUNGLRISE is poised to become a national leader in fermentation-based biotechnology.
