The company was founded in 2025 and is incubated at IIIT Dharwad Research Park and ACSEL Technology Forum (IIT Alumni Centre, Bengaluru). Problem: Enterprises and AI-driven businesses face critical risks from data breaches, regulatory non-compliance (DPDP Act, GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001), and insecure handling of sensitive personally identifiable information (PII) within databases and AI systems. Existing solutions are either too generic, too expensive, or fail to address runtime-level data protection and AI-layer privacy simultaneously. Solution: Cipherion has built two production-ready proprietary products: EnQript — A field-level runtime encryption API that encrypts sensitive data at the database field level without disrupting existing application architecture. It enables enterprises to achieve encryption compliance with zero code overhaul. ZentrQ — An AI privacy middleware that provides real-time PII anonymization, memory engine controls, and guardrail enforcement for AI deployments, ensuring safe and compliant use of AI systems in regulated industries. Additionally, the company is developing TRNG/Cloud Chamber, a hardware-based True Random Number Generator that produces cryptographically secure entropy for unbreakable key generation a deep-tech R&D innovation. Innovation: Cipherion's approach is novel in three ways: (a) field-level encryption at runtime without schema changes, (b) AI-layer PII anonymization with memory isolation a category not addressed by conventional DLP tools, and (c) hardware-based entropy generation for cryptographically strong key material.
