AI voice cloning has broken voice-based authentication. Deepfake-driven fraud is rising sharply across Indian financial services, including mule accounts opened through spoofed Video and Voice KYC, while existing detection tools are built abroad and fail on Indian languages, accents and dialects — precisely where rural KYC happens. Kartavyaa addresses this for banks, NBFCs and fintechs with a three-layer detection engine delivered as a REST API: Layer 1 runs acoustic forensics on the raw waveform, identifying spectral artefacts and encoder fingerprints; Layer 2 analyses prosody and naturalness, including breathing patterns, micro-pauses and emotional consistency; and Layer 3 evaluates spoken content for known fraud scripts and social-engineering markers. The API returns a real/fake confidence score, scam-intent probability and language verification, currently across five Indian languages. No existing player combines deepfake detection with scam-intent analysis on Indian-language audio, architected for RBI V-CIP, UIDAI and TRAI alignment with domestic data residency. Each deployment generates proprietary labelled Indian voice data that trains our own models, cutting cost per detection and compounding accuracy over time — a data advantage that strengthens with scale, converts variable API spend into owned IP, and is difficult for foreign competitors to replicate.
