Kashikari Textiles is a startup company specializing in innovative handloom products, catering to the unmet market demand for luxurious silk fiber-made items such as sarees, dhotis, dupattas, dress materials, and brocades. Silk, being an expensive fiber, remains unaffordable for a broad market segment. While synthetic alternatives like nylon exist, they pose environmental concerns and sustainability issues and are less skin-friendly due to low moisture absorption properties. We have indigenized pineapple yarn for the first time in the country, offering a natural alternative to silk. Pineapple yarn has a shine similar to silk, with advanced mechanical and comfort properties. Our pineapple products are dyed with natural dyes, providing anti-microbial, anti-oxidant, and UV-protective properties. These newly developed hygienic products are completely sustainable, biodegradable, and comfortable, making them ideal for people seeking luxurious, sustainable, hygienic, and natural apparel at prices more affordable than silk.
