The vegetable kitchen garden/flower pots manufactured by Kavery is UV protected Multi-layer High Density Polythelene (HDPE) pots. Kavery manufactures the garden pots through the blow moulding process. There is no other known manufacturer in Kerala or even in South India manufacturing garden/flower pots through this process. This garden pots are unbreakable, has long life for more than five years and also eco-friendly as supported by studies made by Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology(CIPET), Kochi and Kerala Agricultural University(KAU) as compared to other conventional plastic products. CIPET has analysed the tensile strength, before UV exposure and after exposure to UV radiation and weathering for 192 hours. The study has revealed that the pots retains 80% of tensile strength on the above two conditions as against the specified requirement of 50%. The relevant study reports can be made available for perusal, if considered necessary. Kavery provides warranty for five years. The Agriculture Department of Government of Kerala has approved the garden pots from Kavery as the only supplier, after accepting the study reports of CIPET and KU, for purchase by all Krishi Bhavan Offices in the entire State of Kerala by including in its Vegetable Development Programme. Therefore, the garden/flower pots manufactured by Kavery are innovative.
