# Brief Description of nature of the Project: Bio-pesticides are pest management agents derived from natural sources such a Botanicals ,microorganism , animals and minerals. Use of natural products was overtaken by synthetic chemicals due to their efficacy, reliability and quick knock down effect. However, synthetic pesticides have become a health hazards for humans and environment due to their toxicity and pollution. Bio pesticides are potential alternatives to synthetic pesticides. Sources of bio pesticides are readily available, easily biodegradable, exhibit various modes of action, are less expensive and have low toxicity to humans and non-target organisms. Pests include diseases, insects, mites, and weeds that damage crops and reduce crop yield and quality. Bio-pesticides are more environmentally friendly than chemical pesticides and do not cause any negative impact on the surrounding ecosystem and human health. Whereas Fertilizers are the food which feeds the soil, enabling the soil to then feed the plants growing out of it. Organic fertilizer is any type of natural product that contains no additives or chemicals. Compost, leaf mold, cow manure and other types of animal manure are examples of organic fertilizers.
