About Startup: KB RECYCLING PRIVATE LIMITED is a pioneering clean-tech enterprise launching India’s next-generation "urban mines". Operating an automated, zero-emission processing facility, we transform hazardous end-of-life lithium-ion batteries into high-purity Strategic Mineral Concentrate (Black Mass)—securing a sustainable, localized critical mineral feedstock for the nation's soaring EV revolution. The Problem Statement: India faces an environmental and economic crisis from surging electric vehicle battery waste. Over 90% of end-of-life batteries flow into the unorganized sector, causing toxic leaching and violent landfill fires. Meanwhile, domestic manufacturers remain 100% dependent on foreign mineral imports, exposing the EV supply chain to severe geopolitical vulnerabilities. The Proposed Solution: We resolve this by establishing a zero-wastewater, mechanical resource recovery facility in Andhra Pradesh. Our automated 500 KG/H processing line safely diverts hazardous battery packs from landfills, transforming waste into high-purity Black Mass for domestic chemical refineries to manufacture brand-new EV batteries locally. Uniqueness & Innovation: Unlike traditional scrap yards, our automated RSK-LD500 system uses a closed-loop mechanical sequence combining 5000+ Gauss magnetic separation and high-speed turbine milling to break chemical binders without water. This yields high-purity Black Mass (>97%), copper (>95%), and aluminum (>85%) filtered to a 120–150 mesh screen. Operating under negative pressure, the plant eliminates emissions using pulse dust collectors and an alkaline scrubber neutralizing Hydrogen Fluoride (HF) gas. We operate under registered NIC Code 38300. Business Model & Revenue Generation: We operate a predictable, direct B2B model. Our primary revenue stream is selling high-purity Black Mass concentrate and recovered copper/aluminum granules directly to domestic metal refineries based on global spot prices.
