Keansa's goal is to build ICT solutions that improve the overall productivity and efficiency of the agricultural value chain through FPOs as the focus. The product is Innovative since it combines the best practices of ERP and Supply Chain Management, in a simple to use way, on a Cloud-based application, exclusively for Producer Organizations. There are few technology products that can fulfil these criteria of using updated technology, prove methodologies in the context of rural collective organizations. The solution brings in process innovation, since it focuses on market-lead planning instead of unplanned production. It also promotes traceability of data, incorporates standard work practices, keeps track of financials and inventory operations. It helps in collaboration during planning and business operations. It facilitates decision making using data through simple and advanced reports. It reduces manual efforts in record keeping and calculations, thus improving accuracy and reducing time on non-value add tasks. The solution is scalable both technically and organizationally. Technical scalability comes from its choice of proven and latest technology platforms to develop, test and host the technology solution. The organizational scalability comes through the emphasis on training of existing FPO staff on the business process guidelines, automation of data collection, thus reducing the dependency on limited human resources in these organizations. Also, the ability to connect FPO organizations to their ecosystem players like aggregate buyers, input suppliers, logistic suppliers and open up new efficiencies, new opportunities and multiply benefits.
