Kisanmeet empowers "Farmer to Sell to Direct Consumers with the use a simple, multilingual, "customized to suit Indian Farmers in every way" mobile app named Kisanmeet. Background: Before recent decades of wave of urbanization, farmers used to sell their produce to Direct Consumers in free/low fee weekly/fortnightly markets called "Haats" nearby Urban pockets. With Urbanization, and hostile policy against Haats, traders and middlemen became more prominent in grain and grocery trade, sidelining Farmers. The trade was monopolized by middlemen and caused losses to Indian farmers season after season for decades. In formula for profit for a farmer( profit= price*production_quantity - input_costs;) price went down. Coupled with decreasing land holding(so quantity lessening)profits or incomes went down considerably. Government increased production_quantity with its many schemes wit gigantic efforts but all attempts at market correction by de-monopolizing the supply chain have met with resistance from monopolizing middlemen and their cartel and nexus and achieved no intended goal completely. Also due to social equations, middlemen are a necessary evil hence, the progress on market correction has been slow. Kisanmeet helps in this by enabling farmers to sell to direct retail consumers(majorly households) in retail quantities. Premise: Farmers are currently WholeSale sellers. They sell their produce in 1 or 2 transactions which retail consumers cannot buy , which only traders/middlemen/manufacturers can buy, hence middlemen exert monopolizing market power. With this new found ability to be able to sell to retail consumers by using Kisanmeet, farmers can surpass middlemen and sell to retail consumers and get full price for their produce without losing a part of agricultural revenue to middlemen.
