Kudarat Biomaterials Design is a material innovation startup that is engaged in the development of innovative, sustainable bio-based materials that are derived from natural renewable resources such as Marine Algae, Mycelium, Plant based dyes etc. The new materials that we develop is free of chemicals and are designed to follow a circular loop. It serves as an alternative to conventional animal based leather and synthetic leather for applications in apparel, footwear, lifestyle accessories, upholstery etc. The innovation focuses on usage of organic renewable resources, high material performance, circularity, and environmentally responsible design, while enabling local resources and artisan-led value addition.
