At Loopworm, we farm insects on food waste to produce premium quality and sustainable feed protein for Aquaculture, Poultry and Pet feed. Our automated insect rearing technology and indoor vertical farming setup enable us to mass produce insects anywhere and anytime. Our insects are the Black Soldier Fly Larvae, which are voracious eaters of food waste and consume it at 2X the speed of composting, with 200X lesser GHG emissions. They grow 3000 times the size in a span of 12 days and are not pests because of their inability to eat in the fly stage. For every 5 units of food waste consumed, we produce 1 unit of insect feed and 4 units of high-quality compost as a by-product, which supports our claim of a 'Negative Waste Producing Company'.
