Farming community is under severe stress in terms of transportation and finding customers for their goods produced .Prices being offered by the middlemen does not even sufficing the cost incurred for harvesting the crops. This problems compounded after onset of COVID-19 epidemic as they are unable to shift the goods to the selling points,. Presently there are many instances of the farmers destroying the crops grown which will have long term impact on the economy and moral of the farming community. Following are the problems already existing in the farming community • Lowered food production due to unscientific farming practices • Non availability of seeds – variety, quantity , quality & in time • Higher-cost of inputs like fertilizers, manure and pesticides • MSP not commensurate with input costs • Compensation for natural calamities is slow , subjective & inadequate • Dependency on traders and dealers for credit • Decreased support to farmers from Government This ultimately resulting in disaster to the farming community by • Threatening livelihood of small and marginal farmers • Decline in share of agriculture in GDP and employment • This led to bad debts and epidemic of farmer suicides • Forced migration to city as daily laborers Ultimately Younger generation not willing to be farmers We have built a technology platform which will address all the issues being faced by the farming community and boosting the agriculture sector. It aims to bring back the educated talents from farming community to take up farming as their profession.
