www.medfone.in Medfone is an app & web-based service which takes primary healthcare consultation to the last mile into rural areas and small towns too where specialists are not available usually. The service allows doctors and healthcare institutions (latter under development) to register on the platform as service providers and publish their services/ competencies. Patients and last mile service providers (franchisee model under development) discover individual doctors or healthcare institutions online basis the search criteria which includes the system of medicine, speciality, location, gender among others to find them online. Through the app, a patient or franchisee can book appointments online and at the time of appointment have video/ audio call with qualified specialists online. Medfone platform respects the privacy of patients' information. Therefore, no recording of audio or video calls is done however prescriptions are stored for future reference. The app implements strong encryption to protect user data. Features under development include a) building franchisee model b) build ecosystem of local downstream service providers viz. diagnostic labs, wellness centres c) Machine learning enabled e-doctor (only an idea at present) d) targeted marketing of services and health monitoring in real-time through integration with monitoring devices. We intend to relaunch Medfone in May 2018.
