MEDIVERSAL HEALTHCARE PRIVATE LIMITED
Patna, Bihar
In their own words
Greater than 25% of Indian population lives in the eastern India with the rural areas having hospital beds to population ratio less than 1: 1000 as against the WHO norm of 1:500. There is a conspicuous absence of major network hospitals / organized healthcare sector in Eastern India. Mediversal plans to operate a ‘Chain of Hospitals’ across the states in Eastern India, the North East & Nepal, providing low cost, transparent and quality healthcare and adhering to Quality Management Systems, Standard Operating Procedures, NABH Guidelines & modern management techniques which presently are lacking in most private hospitals / nursing homes in the region. It aims to bring in the best of conventional operating models and the start up ecosystem with technology and data at its backbone. A multi super specialty 120 bed hospital is all set to start operations, October 2019 onward, in Patna. The group plans to operate 10 more hospitals under its brand in the next 5 years through an asset light model in tier II/III cities. We aim to provide direct employment to over 1000 adults from the local populace in the next 5 years. Owing to the asset light model, it is rapidly scalable, and we eventually plan to spread out in the north east and neighbouring countries. Innovation components 1. We want to revamp unprofitable nursing homes through lease / acquisition / management contract and run as our network hospitals in Tier II / III cities. This model is very prevalent in the hospitality industry. With our expertise in hospital operations, we want to replicate similar model for hospitals. 2. The network chains shall be integrated with the help of technological platforms to be developed based on Design Thinking concepts 3. Re-engineer patient service processes to focus on transparency and easy information availability. We want the government health schemes such as ‘Ayushman Bharat’ to become easily accessible to the masses. We will not only generate awareness but also assist patients in availing the services 4. Provide conducive ecosystem where consultants can focus on their core competency while we take care of all operational, financial, regulatory and HR related matters 5. Liaise with local NGOs to create awareness in rural areas and increase the healthcare services reach by operating and medical mobile units (MMU). Each MMU shall have a general practitioner, a local NGO partner, paramedic staff and driver to reach out to nearby villages and conduct basic consultation, sample collection, health camps etc. We plan 50 MMUs to operate in the next 5 years, each integrated through a user-friendly technological platform to track movement and performance real time.
