WEBSITE Background: MetShield Corporation India Private Limited has been incorporated in September 2013 with an intent to bring advanced & proven possibly state-of-the-art technology, products and services required by the Indian industry users which are not currently available in India. In relation to the same, MetShield Corporation has become the distributor of Reutech Mining (South Africa) for India. Reutech develops and manufactures primarily two state-of-the-art technologies i.e. ‘Movement & Surveying Radar (MSR)’ systems and ‘Sub Surface Profiler (SSP)’ both the technologies are used for the purpose of human safety in open pit mining operation and underground mining operation respectively. Also, MetShield Corporation has been promoting an advanced nano technology metal conditioner product ‘MetShied’. It is to be premixed with or added to the lubricants to be used in equipment wherever users use engine oil, gear oil and hydraulic oil. Products and Services: 1) Movement & Surveying Radar Systems 2) Sub Surface Profiler 3) MetShield As of now we have team of 4 personnel. Two are into and sales and marketing, one in technical and one in accounts and admin division. As we start receiving the work order, we shall be employing more people for the projects. As mentioned above the requirement by PSU’s and private sector companies, we shall be required to deploy personnel at sites (diploma holder/engineers) on system to system basis. As per the current business plan & targets, we are intending to employ about 25 more personnel (2 diploma holders, 1 engineer, 1 MBA/commerce graduate, 1 geotechnical graduate and 20 other unskilled office staff) by end of March 2021 and about 100 personnel (12 diploma holders/engineers, 2 MBA’s, 1 commerce graduate, 3 geotechnical/mining graduates, 2 accounts/admin, 2 drivers and 78 other unskilled office staff) by end of March 2022. We have been able to achieve substantial outcome of our efforts, potential users have educated themselves about the know-how, usage and benefits not only in terms of achieving the primary purpose of safety of mine workers and machineries but also to achieve increase in mine life and other related commercial gains. Currently, PSU’s such as Coal India Limited and it’s subsidiaries are planning to implement the technology in 21 of their high-risk mines, NLC India is planning in their 2 mines, Singareni Collieries is planning for 2 mines. Also, private sector companies like Vedanta, Tata Steel are simultaneously implementing it in their mines. From above, we have already been providing services to Tata Steel’s Chromite mine in Odisha since 2018 and they have been satisfied with the service contract renewal is in progress, also they have recommended other Tata Group mining projects to implement our technology and services. As of now the business is at it’s initial stages, once the referred mining corporations gets hand on experience then the requirement of the same shall increase multiple times. Sub Surface Profiler It was launched in India towards the end of 2018. By now we have made demonstrations to PSU’s like MOIL, Hindustan Copper Limited and Coal India Limited and it’s subsidiaries. MOIL and Hindustan Copper Limited are progressing with the procurement process whilst as per the norms for Coal mine operation, we are in process to obtain the intrinsically safe certificate from DGMS for use of Sub Surface Profiler in Underground mines. Once the DGMS approval is obtained, it will be a big revolution for Underground Coal Miner users as they have requirement of such technology since more then a decade and there has been no other equivalent technology available in India till now. MetShield As of now it has been tried and tested by various industry users in automotive, mining and manufacturing sectors. In relation to the same, after seeing the trial results and proven-ness of the product, MetShield Corporation has been able to achieve the rate contract from Association of State Road Transport Undertakings, a nodal agency for all the start road transport corporations under the central Ministry of Transport, GoI.
