Why we started MindOrks? Learning to program is easy but building a software is difficult. This is what we experienced when we were in college. There are enormous amount of programming resources and courses online but they don’t prepare well for a software job. We learned that the software education can not be done in isolation. It needs a real project and a team to collaborate. While we were participating in open source community, we got associated with a number of developers and many of them were really poorly trained and very uncertain of their career. So, we started MindOrks and aim to solve one of the most challenging problem of the 21st century, i.e. to make the software education right. The problem we are solving? 1. A student or a professional don’t know what are the right skills to acquire for getting fit for a software job. 2. The online courses only provides the 1st step of this learning process and is not much of a help in real job environment. 3. The companies don’t have access to the right candidates and hiring is a huge challenge for them. 4. Hiring a lot of developers for a side project is not always possible and feasible for a company. Mindorks EdTech Solution: 1. Providing online courses for the student by the best professionals in the field. 2. Successful students of these courses will take a team project under the supervision of a mentor. 3. Bright students from these projects will be made available to companies for hiring. 4. Companies can place their software development requests to Mindorks. 5. The students will become part of the Mindorks community and some of them will become the mentors. 6. Video courses. 7. Student evaluation platform. 8. Student team collaboration platform. 9. Hiring channel for companies.
