MIRACLE AGROCRATES believes that development is a process of change in which the use of resources, the direction of investment, the orientation of technological development and institutional change are in harmony and enhance both current and future potential to meet human needs and aspirations. MIRACLE AGROCRATES is committed to rural work based on the appreciation of many positive features of rural life and society. MIRACLE AGROCRATES has taken upon the challenge of revitalization of the rural economy whilst strengthening its ecological base. MIRACLE AGROCRATES is actively involved in wide range of development activities aimed at addressing problems faced by general and tribal population in related districts. The special thrust towards tribal development includes building the capacity building of tribal population in their traditional agricultural practices, and support for alternative livelihoods. In view of the changed socio-economic scenario MIRACLE AGROCRATES believes that it is important for tribal and indigenous populations to supplement their meager earnings with new earned skills and incomes derived there from. MIRACLE AGROCRATES continues to play a key role in developing innovative approaches for development of the socio-economically marginalized community. 16. Detail of Natural Resource Management projects implemented Experience of the PIA in the Following Fields i Horticulture MIRACLE AGROCRATES has actively involved in promotion of fruit plants in the remote tribal regions through different projects. In most of these projects we have concentrated on establishing small scale fruit plantation ranging from 5 plants to 20 plants for each family. The species promoted mainly focus on local species with emphasis on availability of nutrition at family level including mango, lemon, guavas, banana, custard apple, sapota, Papaya, Anvla etc. The response has been quite supportive. ii. Aforestation Besides fruit plantation MIRACLE AGROCRATES also undertook promotion of plantation of fodder, fuel and timber species with specific reference to nitrogen fixing species. This also included activities for promoting sustainable agriculture. iii. Soil Conservation Our support poor and deprived tribal families started with this activity which helped in them to develop their agriculture fields so as to check soil erosion and promote moisture retention resulting into increased and assured yield. The major focus was on field bunds (stone and earthen), gully plugs, nala bunds, loose stone check damns, Water absorption trenches, CCT, staggered trenches and tree basins. iv. Water Resources Development MIRACLE AGROCRATES has undertaken approach of ridge to valley in the case of water conservation and harvesting, concentrating on site specific low cost water harvesting. The most common structures are Nalla bunds, loose stone check dams, Stone cum earthen material, gabion, masonry check dams, combination structures, Anicut etc. v. Watershed Development 1. Awareness about water shed development approach among the farmers: - The institution is actively involved in sensitizing the people of watershed area by way of organizing training camps under the sponsorship of state government through district administration. Protection of natural resource and its development through community is major thrust under this component. Since 2007 institution is involved under such program and till date 400 groups have been developed for dealing watershed & environmental program at micro level. 2. Training programs for Capacity Building among the farmer: - The institution involved in training programs since 2006 with the active collaboration with MNNRMMGGFC Trust till date the institution has trained 2550 persons. 3. Confidence building about the water shed development activity among the farming community: - The institution is arranging exposure visit for beneficiaries of watershed area to the location where commendable work has been done by the various agencies. 4. Literature production: - Institution has publish two literature guidelines of watershed development & guidelines for farmers regarding watershed for providing technical guide line for watershed activity implementation, government incentive for water shed development under various scheme, 5. Water Harvesting Structure: - Under different micro farming situation based on the need of community the institution is involved in designing and construction of water harvesting structure at different location with the financial assistance from MNRMMGGFCT and so far 4 water harvesting are under construction by MIRACLE AGROCRATES . These structures will provide benefits like recharging of ground water and irrigation facility for crop cultivation on arable land under watershed. 6.
