Mithila Bhoj is a women powered startup based in the Mithila region of Bihar. Our mission is to preserve, promote and modernize the traditional food culture of Mithila while creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for rural women. Our inspiration comes from the recipes, cooking methods and food wisdom of our dadi and nani. We focus on preparing authentic regional food products using traditional techniques so that the original taste, nutrition and purity remain intact. Even in the modern age of machines and mixer grinders, we continue to follow traditional preparation methods including the use of silbatta wherever possible to maintain authentic flavour. We manufacture and promote traditional pulse based and sun dried food products such as Adauri also known as Badi, Kumhrauri, Biriya, Sukhuti, Sattu, Traditional masalas, Pickles and other local Mithila food items that are deeply rooted in our cultural heritage. Our products reflect the simplicity, purity and richness of rural Mithila kitchens. More than ninety percent of our workforce consists of local rural women from the Mithila region. We provide them structured training, organized production systems and market access so they can convert their traditional skills into stable and respectable income. Through Mithila Bhoj, these women are becoming financially independent while preserving their cultural identity. We operate through our digital platform and website to connect rural producers directly with customers across India. Our goal is to build a trusted national brand for authentic Mithila food products while ensuring quality standards, food safety compliance and transparent business practices. Mithila Bhoj aims to become a leading regional food brand that represents purity, tradition and women empowerment from the heart of Mithila.
