Power output from an array of DC power sources is degraded in presence of mismatch between the sources. For instance in case of a string consisting of multiple battery cell in series and parallel, the power suffers due to mismatch SOH (State Of Heath, i.e. storage capacity), mismatch SOC (State Of Charge), mismatch cell impedance, uneven temperature rise etc. These distributed power source i.e. battery cells are used with inverters like power backup inverters, solar grid tie inverters, solar hybrid inverters, motor control circuits for Electric vehicles, hybrid electric vehicles, battery charges etc. Inverters / Motor Controllers / Chargers can be build based on our novel Modular Programmable power conversion architecture will allows to charge / discharge each individual cell based on their current requirements without any additional battery balancing circuit / battery management circuit / Power optimizer circuit etc. Our invention addresses this problem by using a novel power conversion architecture we called it MPPS (Modular Programmable Power System). MPPS is not just optimizing energy from these mismatched cell but same time it will work like battery charger / Inverter / motor controller with high efficiency. MPPS can be used in power backup inverters, solar grid tie inverters, solar hybrid inverters, motor control circuits for Electric vehicles, hybrid electric vehicles, battery charges etc. This way our invention MPPS addressed problem of mismatched DC source by maximizing their energy, their energy capacity, and same time it reduced system size, cost and weight by using same circuit for different function by changing programming mode, and by reducing magnetic filters in power circuit
